Guest nazsp33d Posted August 17, 2004 Report Posted August 17, 2004 I have a long story (wanna send via SMS) which i created in notepad, rather than retyping it all again i was wondering whether it was possible to copy all the text from a text file and paste it into the SMS, ive tried using smartexplorer but it doesnt allow copying of text. I also use notbad to view notepad files. I was wondering whether its possible to alter the "Insert Text" options within SMS to add my story. Thanks
Guest Disco Stu Posted August 17, 2004 Report Posted August 17, 2004 Welcome to the forum mate :) First thing : long story by S (short) MS ?! You know they only contain 160 characters each ? Sure you do, so... Have a look at an app. called Xbar2 which has inbuilt copy & paste function. Get it from here : http://xetranet.free.fr/xbar2/ There are plenty of threads up here if you need help installing etc
Guest nazsp33d Posted August 17, 2004 Report Posted August 17, 2004 Ok i have installed this program but i dont think it can do what i want... Basically i want to copy all the text from a notepad file into a text message on my E200, can this be done?
Guest ferret Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 Run the latest xBar (2.2 I think). Call it by holding down the action key. Switch to notepad with your story. Call xBar up again. Press volume down (select all), call xBar, switch to new SMS. Call xBar, press volume up (paste). Personally, I'd paste in to an email, but each to their own.
Guest drblow Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 Just get Orneta notepad - its free, and you can send as sms from within the app.
