I hear the other party loud and clear, but...

I haven't answered the phone yet. I can hear the other party before I even flip the phone open. What's up? It's good for eves dropping, but a little annoying.

Also, I see you like cingular, how much do you pay a month for data with your MPx200?

Yea, it's really weird. I can usually hear my wife, telling my kids to "be quite I'm on the phone." I tried talking to see if she could hear me. But thinking about it the phone would sqeal if the mic was enabled since it is still closed.

As far as data, let me say this. I have disabled it just to be safe. Last month was $38. I wasn't even on that long. I am a BIG Cingular fan, but thier data plans are still a little raw. I could pay 20 for unlimited. But then i get mms(don't want it) and text abuch of other stuff. I wish they would just do a $10 for internet only. Oh well.

I have seen this problem posted about when the phone was first released, no actual solution or explanation was found as the

problem should not exist as the call has not latched.

what profile do you use? it seems possible that you have activated auto answer, but that the hardware prevents the mic activating while the flip is closed.

auto answer is not an option on all profiles.

Hmmm, let me see. I'm set on outdoor profile. But let me check to see if autoanswer is enabled. Good thinking
