The new Orange C500 cannot SEND video via MMS :cry:

Yes, it CAN record MMS videos in both mp4, and 3gp formats.

Yes, you CAN attach these video clips to MMS messages.

Yes, the phone will "send" the message, BUT the recipient doesn't receive the video clip :shock: And if you look in your sent items, the video has dissappeared :shock:

This is exactly the same fault on the Orange ROM of the E200 which I mentioned here.

As far as I'm aware, the fault lies with the inbuilt MMS client that Orange choose to use in their ROMS, and so I'm guessing this fault will NOT appear in the Qtek 8010 when it's launched :?:

Yes, the C500 rocks, but once again, I can't believe that something like this hasn't been tested :shock:

I would love to be proved wrong, but I don't think I will be :?:

As far as i'm aware, since Windows Mobile 2003, the MMS client that is included is a Microsoft MMS client, not one provided by the carrier (unlike Smartphone 2002), so this bug will appear in the 8010.

Not so, with the latest imate ROM on the E200 :? That has a seperate MMS client (made by Arc Soft). Which also allows recording and attaching of AMR voice notes for MMS messaging. (Something that the C500 STILL can't do :evil: )

This means that I can now record videos on my C500, transfer them to my E200 (with Imate ROM) and send them from my E200 :) Marvelous :wink:

hmm, i can send video with sound over mms.. no troubles. c500 2003. Recipient rang and said "ace video" pretty conclusive, maybe mine is special :)

Check the date on the topic you replied to *S*

The MMS troubles was fixed in the update for the C500, so I'm guessing your phone is updated!
