Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 You should have installed any EVB App for it to run  http://www.omnisoft.com/articles/spevb/evbapplist.asp
Guest James Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 o yeah ! :) Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest Cybertronic Posted August 19, 2004 Report Posted August 19, 2004 Is the restart function safe? I've heard it having soft hard resets :)
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted August 20, 2004 Report Posted August 20, 2004 I have no problems with the standalone QuickReset program (by RCraswell) for about a year now. I experienced those 'soft reset occurrences' with Quick CLOSE app and not QuickReset. Tips: Make sure that ALL running non-system applications are closed before doing the quick reset. Use either Xbar1 or SP Task Manager.
Guest fozzie Posted August 21, 2004 Report Posted August 21, 2004 Excellent little app. Works a treat on my C500.
Guest Cybertronic Posted August 21, 2004 Report Posted August 21, 2004 Is it not possible to include the eVB Runtimes instead of installing any other applications done by you?
Guest master Posted August 23, 2004 Report Posted August 23, 2004 Is it not possible to include the eVB Runtimes instead of installing any other applications done by you? I didn't include the runtimes for this reason - iMenu is just a little app and installing the eVB runtimes with just iMenu running on it seems to be a waste of space. iMenu should be a plus to all eVB app you have already installed (not necessarily my programs). [:)] Since iMenu has been a useful little add-on utility, I might as well include evb runtimes with it, i'll update the installer ASAP. thanks foe the feedback. :P
Guest drblow Posted August 23, 2004 Report Posted August 23, 2004 This is a great little app!! :) Good work fella! What I'm wondering is, what with the menu appearing over the homescreen, could it be skinned, to fit with themes? That would be nice!
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted August 23, 2004 Report Posted August 23, 2004 How To Use: - Half-press power button to launch iMenu - Press Back key to Close (in case you dont need to press any defined key) - You can also change the image (see StorageProgram FilesiMenubg.bmp) I guess that answers your Q drblow. :)
Guest crafty Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 Has anyone been able to replace the background image? I've tried to replace it with the attached image (had to change the extension to png to attacht to this post) to go with my iCandy theme but iMenu returns these errors: An error was encountered while running this program: Picture format not supported. and then An error was encountered while running this program. My pic is the same size/resolution/format as the default one but can't understand why it doesn't work. Anyone got any ideas/speak Philipino to ask Rey Vegafria???bg.png
Guest master Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 @crafty...PictureBox control (for eVB) only supports .bmp. you need to convert your pic to this format (.bmp 8 or 24). if you have any problem with it. you can send me the image and i'll convert it for you. after that replace the bg.bmp in StorageProgram FilesiMenu folder. thanks. :)
Guest crafty Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Thanks for the reply master. I was trying to use a bmp image with no luck - i just had to resave it as a png to post it as modaco doesn't allow you to attach bmp files. I've zipped up the bmp image i want to use and would be very grateful if you could advise why it isn't working. It's probably something v simple that i've missed! Thanks :)bg.zip

Guest fozzie Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 It's not just 24 bit .bmp - you can also use 8 bit.
Guest Cybertronic Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 8 bit is not nice  Using .jpg would be nice :)
Guest crafty Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 cheers for the heads up guys - i've converted it to a 24bit bmp and it works now :). The only problem i have now is that it leaves the Blue box saying iMenu. I don't mean to sound ungrateful for all the wok that has gone into this cool app but leaving a very noticable unchangeable area kinda goes against the whole point of this being skinable. Any chance that this could be changed so that the whole gui is skinnable?
Guest Cybertronic Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Also as being customisable, why is there a white bar on the right when using a different background colour and border apart from white?
Guest Cybertronic Posted September 22, 2004 Report Posted September 22, 2004 Bump - This application is good :)
Guest kwoodall Posted April 1, 2007 Report Posted April 1, 2007 I'm getting an error: The control PictureBox1 ({338D5Eb3-4BBD-11D1-9A7D-00C04FAD5AEC)} could not be created. Any ideas? KW
