Guest Quango Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 Hi my firend has a p900 and one of the ringtones has a woman singing "Ring Ring RIng , Ring Ring Ring , Hey , your phone is ringing " I was wondering if its possible to get this for the e200 ? he was able to bluetooth it to me but its an mp3 ringtone , and the e200 as far as im aware can play mp3 ringtones
Guest squall Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 e200 cant play mp3's. you can convert it to either a wma or wav file. see download.com for a selection of convertors to try. Place the converted file in 'Storage CardApplication DataSounds'
Guest Blakey Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 I put aWAV file in that directory. How do I select it as a ringtone? I tried Settings->Sounds, but it's not in the list. I've rebooted my phone. E200, latest ROM by the way. Blakey
Guest Disco Stu Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 It's probably not PCM-formatted. Use Windows Sound Recorder (in Accessories, Entertainment on your PC) to change it. :)
Guest Blakey Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 I think it is PCM - windows sound recorder seems to think it is, and I can select it on the phone using Smart Explorer and play it and I can hear it okay. I simply can't find it on my list of available ring tones. Blakey
Guest Blakey Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 I just copied it to StorageApplication DataSounds and it now appears. But it doesn't seem to find it in Storage CardApplication DataSounds....? Blakey
Guest squall Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 its better to put it on the storage card as it saves filling up the phones memory with things that can go on the storage card. try downloading jeo personaliser from www.jeyo.com it searchs the sd card for wav files to use as ringtones, nice and easy Posted from my SmartPhone!
