Guest midnight Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 Cheapest so far, Ebuyer seem to have just beaten absolutely everyone on price for 256MB Mini SD Cards..... Kingmax 32MB Mini Secure Digital Card Our Price £8.86 £10.42 inc VAT 64MB Mini Secure Digital Card Our Price £13.12 £15.42 inc VAT 128MB Mini Secure Digital Card Our Price £17.06 £20.05 inc VAT and get this.... 256MB Mini Secure Digital Card Our Price £18.37 £21.59 inc VAT Free Shipping So, seems all our worries about MiniSD being much more expensive than regular SD seem to be unfounded :)
Guest Vector Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 yowza, now that's cheap! *sticks thumb up and winks* may be ordering one of these soon :)
Guest tik Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 hmm, i can't find that on their site. do you have a quickfind code for it?
Guest JPo_23 Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 But is there a 512mb version available?
Guest arunhallan Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 quite crazily 512 is £80 http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/in...mVzdWx0cw%3D%3D
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 tik: Click the link for each one :) Shame theres no converter bundled... 512MB : Quickfind code 65993, 100 quid though... :/
Guest foxy11 Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/in...oduct_uid=65993 512mb version [edit] oops beaten to it SORRY! :) [/edit]
Guest tik Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 ah - found it. for some reason their search system doesn't find it?! 256mb card - quickfind code 65991. they also do a 512mb one - quickfind 65993 - but that's pricing up at £100! both are 'ordered on request' items - i wonder whether the price on the 256mb version is an error - so have ordered one straight away, here's hoping they actually supply it.
Guest zeta101 Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 the cheapest was (until this) a 256mb for £36 from jetmedia, but this was for a sandisk miniSD card that also comes with an adapter. The kingmax is £15 cheaper, i wonder if its reliable memory. Anyone used kingmax normal SD cards in the past?the cheapest was (until this) a 256mb for £36 from jetmedia, but this was for a sandisk miniSD card that also comes with an adapter. Guest tik Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 oops - hadn't noticed the links in the original post! i see it doesn't say there's an adapter included - but, knowing ebuyer, that's not to say there won't be one in the box, fingers crossed :) i can't believe the price on the 256mb version. cheaper than any 'normal' sd card that size!
Guest chucky.egg Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 ...both are 'ordered on request' items... You must have been too late - it was showing 8 in stock when I ordered
Guest tik Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 bah! ah well, will just have to make do with the 16mb card orange supply it with for a few days.
Guest Dr Who Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 Too cheap to be true, so I have ordered 2! 5 day wait for stock I think. Fingers Crossed that they don't pull out.
Guest winterdude Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 good find midnight looks like the product may ship with an adapter kingmaxdigi miniSD details
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 Well i've just ordered 2 256MB cards! Hopefully they won't take too long to get back in stock :)
Guest smith2001 Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 anyone know if the Mini SD fits in the nokia 7610 ? it takes RS-MMS but i just wondered.
Guest techno12 Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 Just ordered one, 5 day wait for stock. I hope they honour it, as it's got to be a mis-price. It can't possibly be just a quid more than the 128meg version, memory just isn't priced like that!
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted August 19, 2004 Report Posted August 19, 2004 PC memory has been priced in a similar way before, my only concern is will the cards work on the C500? I've had problems with kingmax before, my MPX200 did not like them and my PPC appeared to play up when I used a 256mb card :? Ordered mine anyway so here's hoping it does :)
Guest winterdude Posted August 19, 2004 Report Posted August 19, 2004 i think market demand has just driven the price up to £27.99 sneeky :x (not that it's that big a jump)
Guest midnight Posted August 19, 2004 Report Posted August 19, 2004 smith2001, not a chance m8, they are very different memory types
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted August 19, 2004 Report Posted August 19, 2004 Whoa...what just happened to ebuyer? It looks a bit shoddy now imho... :/
Guest midnight Posted August 19, 2004 Report Posted August 19, 2004 Pulse, its still at £27, which is still much cheaper than anyone else :) mono, gotta agree, dont like their new colours hehe
Guest Monolithix [MVP] Posted August 19, 2004 Report Posted August 19, 2004 My pending order is still 22 quid a piece :)

Ordered mine anyway so here's hoping it does :) Hmm I must admit in 20+ years I've never seen memory modules from the same range by the same manufacturer to be priced almost identically, despite one being twice the capacity of the other! Still, eBuyer leeched my credit card this morning so they must be back in stock (and not a misprice). If I were Kingmax though I'd change the pricing as they surely won't sell a single 128meg card if it's just a quid cheaper thant their 256 meg one! Aha, just seen the other posts, it was a misprice!! Still, my order's in ;-)
