Guest rickwookie Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 Just got a cool new Orange SPV C500 today, YAY! Since I was previously an SPV virgin I have no idea if this is normal, but when I hold down the Home key I get a Quick List with two options, 1 Disconnect GPRS and 2 Bluetooth Setup. So I press 1, get a spinny timer thing for a couple of seconds, and then it goes back to the home screen... ...with the GPRS symbol still clearly showing in the top status bar. Anyone know how to fix this?
Guest Xenzo1990 Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 Its been a while since I changed from smartphone to symbian, but from what I can remeber... Check that they 'G' you see is the 'G' that means GPRS is enabled not active, check your manual, but im really not sure.
Guest rickwookie Posted August 18, 2004 Report Posted August 18, 2004 Ok, that makes sense. Thanks. I was thinking that the reason I had a flashing green light on the phone all time was that GPRS was active (like the flashing blue light when Bluetooth is active). So I guess the flashing green light is just the phone saying 'hello, I'm still alive and I'm over here!'?
Guest rav1patel Posted August 20, 2004 Report Posted August 20, 2004 to disconnect a gprs connection hold down the home button and a menu comes up with the relevant option.
