c500 sim unlock? has anyone tried?

I unfortunately have a company phone (Vodafone) so originally got an orange SPV contract for the wife and ran the 'simunlock2' software so I could run the vodafone sim in the origional SPV and have the wife use the orange sim. Works a treat. Now Im keen to upgrade to the c500 but have no idea if the same simunlock software will work on the c500. I suspect not. Has anyone tried yet??

Theoretically this app can unlock the C500 and the E200. The problem comes when it tries to login to the phone. With every ROM revision they tend to change the password :)

It's easy enough to extract the password from the ROM updating program, but I don't know the procedure for obtaining the unlock code from the phone programatically.

Sounds like I need to contact the author of the simunlock2 software.

Frustrating as I don't want to upgrade until I know it can be unlocked.

p.s. the Orange shop on Newbury high st has c500's in stock (since yesterday!) :)

Florin's the only one who has SIM unlocked the E200 and I'm

guessing it will not be long until he produces the same for the C500

has anyone sucessfully sim-unlocked the C500, despite that it just came out? (Need it for Europe and USA going for and back but want the freedom to use local phone companies)
