Sending photos via bluetooth & IRDA on C500 to another p

Can it be done. I took some pics & wanted to send them to the wifes N6600 via bluteooth. Press send but only has options for via email or mms. It does however receive the pics via bluetooth & Irda.

Another thing is the photos that I did receive that were there last night, even made one my wallpaper, have now mysteriuosly disappeared overnight. Is that a bug or did I not save them properly?

get smart explorer it will solve all your problems, also with smart explorer you can send ANY file via IR/BT including video, me and my friend often send *ahem* videos :D to each others phones, often in school!

i have this problem, i got my c500 a week ago (on orange, upgrade from mpx200) and am very pleased, but i can't send via bluetooth using the supplied file manager . i have smart explorer EN yet this also only gives the option of sending via mms or ir. i've paired with a friends phone to see if this changed the options given but with no joy- any ideas?

Have you got version 2.0.2 ?

That will give you the options of sending via MMS & IR / BT

There is also Mobiluck - lots of options and stuff but its not free - although a really good piece of software (the vinal version anyway)!!!!

Sending photos directly from camera does actualy works much better after the ROM upgrade. Before I had to pair devices first, then by album or file explorer to send photos. Seems the rom update isn't that bad after all.

Have to say that bluetooth on spv doesn't work that easy as nokia, samsung or sony :evil:

I've got Smart Explorer EN 2.0.2 which works fine on BT.

Where do you get Smart Explorer from? I was given a c500 from my boss with nothing with it other than the handset.

If your a kinda of novice on installing stuff, getting the exe version of the download as this will install from your computer!

Once installed you'll be sorted for sending via BT, plus while you're there why not get the taskmanager aswell, it has a little function that closes all non-systems apps so when your done using stuff, run that and you'll save your battery! :)

I have both programs on speed-dials to make it even quicker to get to them. - if you don't know how to do that, just ask.

Activesync...hmm, i dont have it on the machine im on right now so i can't remember, is there not any help on set up where you downloaded it?

if not, search on here there will be plenty of threads about it im sure!

Once you got it sorted its simple, it runs everytime you plug it in. then you can get into the phone itself if you want to do stuff , like transfer pics, ringtones, movies etc. plus of course you can sync your contacts and calender with outlook.

**EDIT** Ok, i just looked on my other machine. if you go to File -> Get Connected it runs a little wizard which should help you connect, altho i think thats if you aint doing it via bluetooth. I've got Ver. 3.7.1 of Activesync, but there'll be something similar on 3.8 if thats what you're using.

If you are using bluetooth to sync, there's plenty of info of how to do it if you do a search on here. :D

Did you get the data cable with the phone or just the handset? There is a way to sync with bluetooth, but not sure how. there's bound to be something on here though, run a search and I'm sure you'll find loads

i have just downloaded from http://www.binarys.com/download_en.asp the setup file for smart explorer 2.0.2 but when i install it and check the about smart explorer it still says version 1..

so there is no option for sending via bluetooth, only email and infrared..

I am a Krome Iq 200 user from India. Purchased this fone 4 days ago. I downloaded the Smart Explorer 2.02 on to my phone. Everything works fine except for the fact i cant recieve files via bluetooth but can send them.Tried with NOKIA,Sony Ericsson. But still no avail.I am ashamed to see mobile phones of a lesser kind like N-Gage can transfer files in a jiffy.Is there any 'free' solution to this ? Or is it about registering Smart explorer

After searching for about 6 hours I finally got it

U have to switch on Beams as well in the settings(Dont know the connection between beams and bluetooth) while receiving files. Havent tried it but will tomorrow
