Hard Reset c500 + customizing new orange plugin

Hi all

just got my c500 yesterday (wednesday) from Leeds White Rose (albion street also had loads in stock when I called them at 10am). Upgraded from E200.

Excellent Phone but just a couple of questions.

How do you hard reset this phone? I can't get into the boot loader. I know you can do a Clear Storage but this won't get you out off all problems will it especially if the phone won't boot!

Also is it possible the customize the new orange plugin? I've looked at the html and it seems like fairly fixed. I want to add the alarm setting ala E200 and the profile setting which for some reason isn't on the new Orange c500 homescreen with the generally excellent but maybe not customizable new orange plugin.

Also in Caller ID how come pink is not transparent? If so what colour is transparent.
