Ok few questions: 1) when i run an app. lets say media player, when i am finished, do i just press the back arrow [below hangup/red phone] and that will CLOSE the app and bring me back to home ? or do i have to do more than that to actually KILL the process??? 2) how do i change the background :x 3) has anyone got a link to a cradle that will CHARGE the phone in addition to sync'ing it? 4) is there any better software for the camera? :D 5) how do i get the photos from phone > pc ? i.e what folder are they in!! Guest kevlar Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 2. settings>homescreen>background image 3, plug your charger into the back of the cradle ( that is not a screwhole!) 4, This program has just come out http://www.iastyle.com/smartphone/ Kevlar
Guest benzo Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 Do u know if IA capture is out for the SPV as well? As I don't think it's worth getting IA album without IA capture. MMS camera capturing module is a bag of $hite.
Guest studiosonic Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 The website says: Conveniently send image files or video files as attachments in E-mail using the features built in to IA Album for Smartphone. Does this mean you can bypass using MMS? That would be great! :D
Guest Moony1234 Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 another Q guys, i have a G at the top of the phone, does this mean GPRS is still connected? if so how do i disconnect it. Thnx for ur answers kevlar. Anyone got answers mainly for Question 1 :D thanks!
Guest sch Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 The large G in a white box just means you can see GPRS, you should see a small g in the space where your signal bars are when actually connected. As for the question re apps, it's all looked after by the OS - there's no way to kill off apps selectively at the moment. What's supposed to happen is that if the phone sees it needs more processor or memory it will kill off programs no longer being used.
Guest Moony1234 Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 u guys are great :D thanks!! one last question, anyway to make the backlight stay on longer? i.e when playing videos :(
Guest Moony1234 Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 oh and theres also a little "1" along the top :x
Guest sch Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 As far as I know, no way around it at the minute - but it's one of the things rumoured to be in the update we should be seeing early next year!
Guest hotphil Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 Moony - the "one" means Line 1, as in having more than one phone number assigned to the phone. Phil
Guest Shire29 Posted December 20, 2002 Report Posted December 20, 2002 The way I understand it is that pressing the back button will close the app. That's not true for all apps though as some games have keys assigned to quit them. If you press the home key when in an app the app remains open. I think ? sure someone will correct me if not.... The large G on the bar at the top of the home screen just tells u that GPRS is available, i.e. you have been set up for it. When there is a small G above the signal bars in the right hand corner this means you are connected. Remaining connected will slow the phone down. Pressing the red phone button above the back button should end the GPRS session. Cheers, Shire
