Calling for help...unlocking and using spv for 02

I don't know if anyone can help, but I have an spv that has the 1.6 update. I am on o2 pay as you go but have an spv that is still locked to orange. Received instructions here to unlock it and am greatful but I cannot do this as I have windows 98. I have connected to the internet through orange on the spv on a orange pay as you go card, but for about 10 - 15 minutes total connection time my balance has gone from £10 to £1.13. Is this normal? Or is it possible for me to have the phone unblocked and to get all the settings for this phone to connect through o2? and have a much cheaper rate? Has anyone here done this? please let me know...Thanks.

You can only SIM unlock using a PC that has Win XP or 2K as you need the

USB driver support which Win 98 and ME do not have.

If you are using an Orange PAYG SIM then it's worth signing up to Orange World Access 4 bundle. Will work out a lot cheaper.
