WARNING - STREAMING RADIO HEAVY ON GPRS

I have been monitoring my GPRS usage and noticed way high peaks when using streaming radio.

I tested this on the Virgin Radio link posted somewhere else on the forum. I reckon it's about 1MB for 5 mins listening, now that's heavy.

A half of football would be 9MB, omg so be careful with this.

When u think about it, it is logical that it should be so high, however it could cost someone a fortune if they are not aware of it.

I've not tried any other stations or links so don't know if it's just Virgin Radio link or not. I just doubled my first months GPRS usage with just over an hour of Radio.

Anyone else concur ?

Yep, I noticed it is very heavy.

Let's all cross our fingers and hope that Orange continue the unlimited GPRS deal after March (or whenever it is!)

Assuming that people don't abuse it, I don't see why this could not be the case, especially for SPV owners!
