Guest cpu121 Posted August 21, 2004 Report Posted August 21, 2004 I have a document I edit every day on my smartphone that I then want to edit on my home PC. However, I have to copy the file across each time as MS Word 2000 doesn't allow me to open the file directly, nor can I create a shortcut on my desktop linking to the My Docs on the phone. Has anybody managed to get around this issue or will I have to manually copy it back and forth every night?(I suppose I could just create a batch file to do this for me?).
Guest martin Posted August 21, 2004 Report Posted August 21, 2004 I don't think you can edit the smartphone file directly from the PC. You could maybe try and automatically sync the file to the PC with software like THIS. BTW I've never tried this software so don't know if it's any good :)
Guest cpu121 Posted August 21, 2004 Report Posted August 21, 2004 Thanks for the link, I'll have a look at the trial. Looking at that site gave me an idea though. Would it be any easier to simply save the file on an SD card and use a card reader? I could edit the file directly on that without having to move the file back and forth; just got to remeber to take it out again.
