Guest cybercamel Posted August 21, 2004 Report Posted August 21, 2004 Can someone explain how to access media files when I go into WMP? I keep getting 'The license for this file cannot be found. Use WMP on your PC to copy the file to your device again' I have done this, but can't get past this error message :)
Guest zeta101 Posted August 21, 2004 Report Posted August 21, 2004 im guessing you are using WMP on ur pc to copy over the music? well you dont have do to this, go to activesync and select explore, now you can physically copy and paste mp3s over. Best to put them on your Storage Card (ie the miniSD card) because if you clog up the "Storage" (this is the RAM on your phone) then i =t can slow your phone down. It doesnt matter where you put the mp3s as WMP will do a scan for all files. Good luck.
Guest cybercamel Posted August 21, 2004 Report Posted August 21, 2004 I've tried it that way as well, still get the same error message!
Guest cybercamel Posted August 22, 2004 Report Posted August 22, 2004 Ok this is getting serious now! I can't even play the WindowsMedia file that comes with Player. It's listed in local content along with a song I tansferred over. When I try to play it the standard buttons appear but it doesn't play. When I look in properties the filename - WindowsMedia.asf is there, but the duration is 0:00 and the bit rate is also 0. The listing under properties is also nothing like it is with the E200. I still can't play the song as I described previously. Have I got a duff copy of Windows Media Player?
