Guest RazorD Posted August 23, 2004 Report Posted August 23, 2004 Well, yeh, off is always standby these days, on most pcs, you have to physically unplug it from the wall or switch of the psu on most pcs! its for things like WOL (Wake on Lan).

My e200 charges when connected directly to my PC's USB port and the PC is OFF. However, as a test I have plugged both my E200 and C500 into a powered USB hub connected to my PC. I have turned my PC off. The E200 charges and the C500 doesn't. I'm going to pop into PC World later today to buy a new USB cable to see if that makes any difference.

You may have have a strange feeling (nice to know :) ) but I can assure you my power cord has never been plugged into my e200's cradle. The power cable sits next to my bed! To confirm - E200 plugged into PC either in hub or not, pc off, phone charges. C500 plugged into PC either in hub or not, pc off, phone does not charge.

I may be wrong, but if not im sorry for being the bearer of bad news :)
