Guest jacksonnew2002 Posted August 23, 2004 Report Posted August 23, 2004 hi guy, I saw a software called directassist, it's a phone number search engine, it works on both pocketpc and smartphone. http://www.directassist.com.au/download.shtml It sounds good to have a powerfull phone book like that, but does it really give you the accurate results? Any one can try it out for me, thanks.
Guest jonnieboy Posted August 23, 2004 Report Posted August 23, 2004 I used the directassit software on my MPx200 and it works very well - pretty cool that you can direct dial from the search result. I am based in Australia where GPRS traffic is charged out at a premium. The directassist software seems to cut out wasted network traffic when compared to using PIE. I will be buying the software key.
Guest jacksonnew2002 Posted August 24, 2004 Report Posted August 24, 2004 Sounds good, but if this softare have more coutries, it could be worthy to buy the licence.
Guest jonnieboy Posted August 24, 2004 Report Posted August 24, 2004 I did buy a software key this afternoon off the site. If I call 1234 in Aust, Telstra charge me $1.25 for the search and then additional for the connection ; rip-off. directassist is finding me the numbers I need at a cost of approximately 33 cents per search and I can direct dial rather then having to scratch the number down and then dialing. This software will pay for itself. If you use PIE to search the web for numbers, this will cost an arm and a leg. This is a very cool software!
