Guest Chic0 Posted August 23, 2004 Report Posted August 23, 2004 Hi guys I got my new C500 on friday. I managed to download Binarys Smart Explorer 2.0.2. Anyway, when my mate tried sending me files over bluetooth, I was not able to receive them! Later on when I got home, I tried sending from my Powerbook G4 but same thing happened. Am I doing something wrong? Is there anything I need to check on the handset. Please help! Sending files to my laptop is not a problem, just receiving. In Smart Explorer there seems to be no option to 'Receive via Bluetooth'.
Guest Rolfe_WJ_2 Posted August 23, 2004 Report Posted August 23, 2004 Bump ( and add ). I have a mate with a C500, and we couldnt figure out how to send files via bluetooth either :P He has smart explorer, I only have the default software installed. He connected with my Phone OK ( we think ), but we just couldn't find any option to send a file via Bluetooth. Help appreciated, thanks :)
Guest Chic0 Posted August 23, 2004 Report Posted August 23, 2004 You can send using Smart Explorer. The problem I am having though is receiving via Bluetooth. Any answers.......anyone.......?
Guest t3dluke Posted August 23, 2004 Report Posted August 23, 2004 Its simple, go into settings, beam and put a tick in the box. Sorted. PS Smartexplorer doesnt need to be open to recieve a file.
Guest blueflash Posted August 23, 2004 Report Posted August 23, 2004 So to send and recieve files , i need to install smart explorer? the C500 wont do it as is?
Guest t3dluke Posted August 23, 2004 Report Posted August 23, 2004 It wont send file without smartexplorer no but will recieve. Smartexplorer will work without being registered though. Personally I thought microsoft would have included bluetooth sending in 2003SE but for some reason decided not to?
Guest digger Posted August 23, 2004 Report Posted August 23, 2004 Can you set where the file sent to your phone is saved? It seems to go to StorageMy Documents Can it be set to go to the storage card?
Guest t3dluke Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 Probably have to change a registry key.
Guest rameses Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 I have a similar problem. A mate has sent me an mp3 file via blue tooth, my C500 shows that it is downloaded, :) but then the file disappears. I have checked all the folder and cannot locate it anywhere. :? Any ideas? Also, how do you go about editing the registry, is there an app I need to down load for this? :?:
