Guest iownju Posted August 23, 2004 Report Posted August 23, 2004 Well, im stuck in a battle between many phones. Some smartphones, a few not so much windows operated phones. But still close. The Phones ie considered are the Orange SPV E200, SPV C500, Sendo X, Sony P900, Motorola MPX 220/100 when they get released. I live in the US, so im looking for a phone that is easy to unlock if I do go with a eurpean phone. Or something that work, sounds good, and has pretty good battery life. I wa originally going to go with the E200, but read the review on the C500 and it pretty much changed my mind, but i DOnt like that fact that the C500 has its game problem at the moment, so id probably wait for that to get fixed before i consider it worthy  Anyway, ive always wonted a Sendo X, especially before when it was origianlly going to be running Windows, but thats changed, but still seems good. Havent read a lot about it or seen some good reviews about it. Fr the P900, not sure about that one, just thought it looked cool, but doesnt know how well works. Then there are the MPX 100 and 220. I know a friend that has the 200 and its an okay phone, i wouldnt personally get it. but i do like the other 2 that are coming out soon. But it doesnt have to be any of these, if there are other phones that are coming out or that are out that i might not now about then plz share. I just want something with good features and that works well, plays games/mp3s/ and maybe even movies if there encoded right. Thanks for any info and opinions :)
Guest chucky.egg Posted August 24, 2004 Report Posted August 24, 2004 I moved from an E200 to the P900, and am now trying the C500. So far (although I haven't made a final decision yet) I think I will probably keep the C500 and sell the P900. Windows Smartphones don't have as much software available as the Sendo (Symbian Series 60) and the P900 (Symbian UIQ), but compared to the C500 that's the biggest failing now. The C500 has (touch wood) been very reliable, faster than the E200, more pocket-able than the P900, and more business-like than the Sendo-X. If you're not interested in "business" apps then I'd probably try out the C500 and the Sendo, and see which you prefer. AFAIK there are no SIM-unlock sites for the C500 yet, but you will soon be able to get them SIM-free Is the Sendo out now? I haven't seen any around? [edit] I should say that I am not one of the "if it aint MS Smartphone it's rubbish" types I was a keen supporter of MS Smartphone initially, but after bad experiences with the En00's I went to Symbian UIQ which server me very well for a year. I won't accept a duff product, whoever makes it and whatever OS it has, so me coming back to MS Smartphone (if that happens) is based on the platform having improved significantly [/edit]
