Guest squippo Posted August 23, 2004 Report Posted August 23, 2004 I cant seem to move start menu items into the folders i like. I can create new empty folders fine but for some reason it gives me "access denied, make sure you have enough memory, write protected.. blah blah" any ideas? also, has anyone managed to get thier alarm looping without changing the registry yet?

I managed to order my start menu the exact same way I did it on the E200 - App unlocked it first on the Orange site, edited the registry to get the correct order of folders that I wanted and then manually moved everything in /Storage/windows/Start Menu

I didnt realise the c500 needed app unlocking. Sorted now. Still has anyone sorted their alarm yet?

Guest taxmanken Posted August 23, 2004 Report Posted August 23, 2004 Can someone post me the link for the official orange decert tool (as mentioned above) Ta.
Guest fozzie Posted August 24, 2004 Report Posted August 24, 2004 A lot of the Start Menu items have the System attribute set. Smart Explorer can't seem to move them BUT the supplied File Explorer can :) Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest Phil Lee Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 I just tried changing the start menu order using PHM RegEdit and the start menu items have defaulted to alphabetical order. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Edit: It seems that the menu order only works for the default Orange links. If I add another line, the order defaults to alphabetical. I have tried removing an Orange link (the Orange folder) and adding the link I want at the top (BlueTooth Toggler.lnk) but the order defaults to alphabtical after a restart of the phone.
