The Ultimate Cust Svc Failure ? Orange Tariffs

Has anyone noticed how complicated Orange have made their monthly pricing plans? Or is it just me?

Checking their website, displays various combos of calls/text/games/GPRS

Ranging From 120mins + 30txt = £15 p/m

To 400mins + 4MB GPRS + 4 games = £50 p/m

Fab, lets swap tarriff..... Oops Sorry Sir, these are only available to "NEW CUSTOMERS" or more specifically NEW NO.s.

I could take advantange of these great tariffs, but I need to forfeit my existing Mobile No.

During various chats with 150, I discover no option to "buyback" original fone - "Go to a shop, they'll do it"

Talking to an Orange Shop - They do not promote/offer the tarriffs seen on the web, but do seem willing to honor them if you quote them.

As Orange amend their tariffs, surely the decent thing is to permit loyal customers to be able to "keep loving Orange" through choosing a tariff that lets them continue to talk cost-effectively :!:

Guess Orange's more focused on pushing more "new No.s" through their books than keeping their potentially dwindling loyal customers happy :?:

Unfortunately carriers (not just Orange) are more interested in their "churn rate", the number of customers they can get to connect with new contracts. The "loyal" customers don't count for much, leave if you like but if you return it just makes their churn look even better...
