Hi, Just wondering if anyone knows if getting a replacement handset late on in a contract affects upgrade offers?

My E100 volume control has stopped working but my contract is up early September and I don't want to try and get a replacement if it could affect getting a shiny new C500 for free.

Dan,

Dan,

The handset price is based on your monthly spend (<£30 it is £79.99, over £30 it is free).  You have to wait until 12 months are up to renew your contract although if you ring 150 and talk very nice they will upgrade it in the 11 month although they won't admit it

Thanks for the info - sounds good, I spend over £30 a month.

So in theory I should be able to get a new E100 handset to replace this faulty one, then a C500 next month...

Just to clarify, if its Under £25 you have to pay a one off payment of £79.99

Over £25 and its free.

This reffers to the cost of your tarrif, so you cant have say a £22 tarrif and £3 text bundle unless you pay for the phone

Squall,

That is *incorrect*. The over £25 applies to new customers only. For upgrades it is over £30................

Don't forget you'll get the standard £15 admin fee to replace the handset. It wont effect your upgrade next month either. All the best mate. i have to wait till December to upgrade :) Posted from my SmartPhone!
