e100 Hard Reset

Hi peeps,

I bought a second hand SPV e100 for £21 without a charger and cradle so i would like to know how to do a hard reset.

It does look scary but if you read the thread first and then follow the instructions carefully you'll be fine.

Just follow exactly as it says

Turn off the SPV. (make sure you have an SD card in the phone)

Hold the 'Voice Memo' button down while turning on the SPV.

Press and hold the Action button (joystick middle button) for 2 seconds

when it tells you to Press Any Key

If you do this correctly you will be in the bootloader menu screen

if not you will see the three colour canary screen instead.

In the bootloader menu screen press 8 to select 'Erase IPSM data'.

When it has finished doing this (it takes a while), it will say PASSED.

Now press and hold the power button to reboot your phone.

The first reboot after a hard reset will take some time to complete as the phone needs to rewrite the IPSM.
