Volume buttons not working!

The other day, i was deleting some pics with IA Album on my dopod 515 and I think i mite have accidently deleted the screen that comes up when you adjust the volume, so my volume buttons dont work. I think i might have also deleted the startup and shutdown "Windows Mobile" screens too because they don't show up anymore when I startup/shutdown the phone. Does anyone know how to fix this? i dont really want to do a hard reset.. :)
