Have just tried syncing but Norton kicks in to say that "Deep Throat Trojan Horse" has tried to access my PC. As active sync was the only programme running is it possible that the trojan horse is in my SPV

No, there's no known virus / trojans targetting samrtphones as of yet, and there are countless applications running on your pc all the time.
