Can't Connect via acivesync with 8380

Help!! I just purchased a Mio 8380 and can't connect the phone with activesync. Any suggestions as to whats wrong? Thanks in advance!

if you're using the activesync included with the CD, you will have to download activesync from microsoft. The one included is version 3.6, don't work if your phone is used with Windows XP. Get 3.7.
