NEED HELP WITH 2003 UPGRADE AND OTHER THINGS

I JUST BOUGHT A MPX200 FROM EBAY IT SEEM TO BE UNLOCKED, HOWEVER WHEN I USE 2002 I CAN'T GET A SINGAL WITH I READ THAT ITS 2002. NOW I GO AND UPGRADE TO 2003 BOTH ENGLISH AND GERMAN, BUT THE WILL NOT PAST THE SECOND SCREEN WITH AN M ON IT IN THE GERMAN VERSION. I CAN'T TURN OFF THE PHONE WITH THE POWER BUTTON, MAYBE ITS A SETTING SOMEWHERE, AND I KEEP ON GETTING A SIM ERROR SAYING UNKNOWN STATUS. :) COULD SOMEONE PLEASE GIVE ANY INFO THAT WILL HELP ME GET THIS PHONE WORKING .

Have you done a Hard Reset? that will be your first thing to do.

As for SIM error check the two SIM retaining lugs are not broken

(they are the opposite side of the metal slicing clip. If they are not there

place a small piece of folded paper between the SIM and the battery

this can be a common problem and is one of the main causes of SIM errors.
