Cant get into inbox or write sms!! please help

I cant seem to get into my inbox to write sms..

i even tried going thru my cantacts and selected send sms, but still nothing happens.

Also, i cant recieve any sms.

Please Help

Check yout Storage on the phone as you may have run out of space. Have you installed any new apps recently?

Yes, i recently updated the firmware or rom from the o2 site, so i backed up my phone using the sprite software. once i restored, it wasa ok for ahwhile. but the next day this problem started....

Anyway....i think the backup file was corrupt....so did a hard reset....and its working fine now.... lost all my personal data, but am gratefull my phone is ok now....
