Guest shaggyguitarist Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 I was trying to remove Registry editor from my phone, cos i never use it. When I used the remove programs function from the settings menu, I got a message saying that it could not be removed. I then opened explorer and deleted the folder and shortcuts for PHM Registry Editor. One re-start later and the programs gone. Only thing is, when I go to the remove programs menu again, the registry editor is still listed?? I dont know how to get rid of it from the list, and what files are still lurking to cause the phone to recognise the program?? Anyone help?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 The reason you could not uninstall the regEdit app was possibly due to it still being used in system memory. A reboot may have fixed this. I would try to reinstall teh app first then do the above before uninstalling it again. The problem you have now is you have to dig through the phone and manualy remove all traces of the app. A place to look is IPSMWindowsAppMgr
