Guest raidersbball21 Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 Guys, Maybe you guys can help me out. I recently tried to upgrade my mpx 200 to the 2003 rom. The problem is that the download got about half way done on my phone and then just stop and told me to try again later. That is not the biggest problem, The main problem is that now my computer does not recognize that my mpx is connected to it through my usb port. And when I turn on the phone it just stays stuck on the startup screen with powermoto written on it. I have tried hard resetting it but that does no good. Is there anything I can do? I fear that everything had been erased off of it including memory and everything. But surely there is a way to fix it right?! Any help will be great. Thanks, Raidersbball
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted August 25, 2004 Report Posted August 25, 2004 It is possible that your phone has been killed if the install was interrupted. Things to try are to turn off your firewalls you may have and rerun the hacked rom.
Guest raidersbball21 Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Once the phone is killed by a rom interruption is there anyway to reinstall the software with a sd card or is the phone dead for good? Like I said before my computer will not even read that it is an mpx200 anymore, it just says that an unknow device is attached. i do have the old rom saved on an sd card, but how would I get the phone to read it. Thanks for any help
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 7, 2004 Report Posted October 7, 2004 Once the phone is dead it pretty much stays that way and having the update on SD will not help :) The only other suggestion is to try running the update on another PC. This trick worked with the SPV in the past.
