8380 Number pad freezes up Smartphone 2002

I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to re-write the PROM on the 8380. I think that the ROM got corrupted some how and is causing problems. I can use the phone for anything until I start using the number keys. Smartphone then freezes up. It is acting like a corrupt dll file but I haven't been able to find a copy of the ROM to reinstall. My phone is completely unlocked at the moment, if that is any help.

If I can't get this fixed I'm going to have to go buy another phone, which I really don't want to do.
