512MB Viking SD Card in e200?

Before buying my SD card I did a search through the threads and found several people had successfully used the Viking 512MB card in their e200, so I went ahead and bought one. However sadly, the one I have received doesn't work (can't write to the card). I was just wondering if anyone else had problems with this card, or whether perhaps my card is just faulty?

Any help/suggestions would be much appreciated!

Thanks,

Tom

Is there a switch on the side ?

This may be stopping you writing to it

Thanks for the suggestion, but yeah, tried it with the switch in both positions to no avail. It's strange, because it seems to be writing to the card for a second, but then dies. :)

if its a multi cell sd card they dont work, aprently, in the e200. you will need to ask viking though to find out if it is single/multi cell

According to Viking, it is indeed a Multi-Cell card, and they say that they have no Single Cell card of 512MB. I can't understand how it would work for some people and not others. Oh well, going to return it to eBuyer and get a new one - does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

Can anyone recomend a 512MB SD card which will work in the e200?

Thanks!

Dane-elec alot cheaper than Sandisc and in my opinion alot better. had no end of probs with my Sandisc 256 in my E200 it had the "i'll switch off when i feeel like it" problem and I've never had to reinsert my Dane-lec since I've had it and seems alot quicker at movie transfer from pc to card.

Hope this helps

Have to say, I'm still down like a mo fo' with the Transcend card from Offtek. Still working like a good'un in my Exm-20 camera and e200, and the price is pretty good for a definite single layer card...
