Guest Transform Posted August 26, 2004 Report Posted August 26, 2004 I have the SPV E100 and my contract runs out next month. I was just wondering if I should get the E200 or the C500. Can anyone who has had one or both of these phones give me their opinion on which is better? The feature that I want the most is an on board camera unlike my attachable one which clips on. I also want to be able to do video recording. Can anyone help me at all? Thanks.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted August 26, 2004 Report Posted August 26, 2004 As the C500 is the replacement for the E200 that should say it all :) Seriously though if you want a new contract then the C500 otherwise go for the E200 for games (at the moment)
Guest Transform Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 is the c500 able to have all the software on it that the e100/e200 can have? and what about the games for it? cant u put on the same games which the e100 and 200 use?
Guest Vector Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 is the c500 able to have all the software on it that the e100/e200 can have? and what about the games for it? cant u put on the same games which the e100 and 200 use? All the applicaions i used on my E200 work but at the moment only some games work (see the thread in C500 forum about which games work and which don't) but Orange are working on a fix which will make all games work on the phone :)
Guest Transform Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 so would you personally get the c500 over the e200? also, what do i do with all the info on my sd card? and is there anything which will be on the fones memory that i will need to keep?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 There is not really anything on the phone worth keeping when you upgrade unless you have some important emails etc there?
Guest Transform Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 what about home screen pictures and any programs on ispm? also... you you definately think this c500 is worth getting because im going to be stuck with it for a year. but if you think its good i will take your word for it.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 I'm happy with my C500 at teh moment, not gone for games as yet but the size speed and usability all work well for me :)
Guest Dr Who Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 i have had all 3 of the phones you mention and the C500 is streets ahead of the other two. miles ahead. IMHO the E200 was worse in use than the E100. get the C500! Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest Transform Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 ok sounds good. i would have to buy a new sd card tho :) and do i just copy all the info on the sd card to the pc and then copy it back onto the new one when i buy one big enough?
Guest Dr Who Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 Yup, you will need to get a miniSD. I got a Kingmax (the cheapest!) 256Mb one from Ebuyer and it works fine. Not that pricey, either. And yup, you can just copy the old storage card to your PC and then return to the blank storage card on your new phone.
Guest Transform Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 what about any shortcuts that are on my fone? and any other programs that are on my fone.. what do i do with them? also... do i get to keep my existing fone?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 10, 2004 Report Posted September 10, 2004 If you change phone it's best to recreate the shortcuts or with some apps reinstall them. I mainly just recreate the shortcuts when I move cards from phone to phone.
Guest Transform Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 also... if i wanted a ringtone as a polyphonic.... could i create one somehow. for example... if i wanted the tune to a song... how would i do it in just beeps?
