New Developer?

Hi. I've just got into developing simple games for the pc i wanted to know if anybody out there knows anywhere where i can learn more about developing games and writing my own code so that i can do more advanced stuff.

At the moment im limited to scrolling shooters and 2D platformers, i could do 3D games but they turn out as a load of poo.

And who knows maybe i'll move onto other things and develop for smartphones 'n' stuff and maybe even be able to take a go at making a decent snes emulator... But that would be a ways off.

Also if you want to see a simple game i've made so far just PM and give me your e-mail address so i can send it to you (and no you won't get no spam from me :) ) me but dont expect too much in graphics, i was a bit limited :P

Thanks for any help you can give me. And also could you tell me what you think of the game so far (as in gameplay and how well stuff works, not how it looks or sounds :? )

I have no idsea how 2 help you but us lot have loadsa ideas we can give you for games :)
