Guest ferret Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 Usually from handango.com or smartphone.net
Guest TigerNet Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 ...yeah but the review says the software tested was not that on handango...it was newer...
Guest AngelOfRage Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 damn had me excited i hurrily read title as Cyberton Voice Commander and thought it was a Transformers related article... :)
Guest nechbi Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 I downloaded Cyberon Voice Commander this afternoon after the review on MSMobileNews. I have to say that it is fan-bl**dy-tastic! It is really clever - I can't believe how accurate it is AND there is no training required (unless you want to dial a number not in ya contacts) Although the voice isn't great - it's not THAT bad.. The interface isn't as visually polished as the one on the MPx220 - but at the end of the day it certainly does the job rather well and it doesn't cost the earth! The MS Smartphone is the phone to have - to have this as well just completes the package. Go order your copy now!
Guest KingDaddy Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 I had to add Voice Tags to most of my Contacts and Programs to get it to work well. Other than that, this program is the sh1t!
Guest nedge2k Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 @King Daddy Have you tried the latest versions? The links are in my article.
Guest KingDaddy Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 I got 1.5 from Hangango early yesterday moring (about noon your time). Is that the same as the one in your link? It says 1.5 but the build number could be different.....
Guest nedge2k Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 The review links point to newer versions of the app (newer 1.5 builds). The handango version is, well...er...crap :)
Guest nechbi Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 I got my copy straight from Cyberons web site HERE.
Guest nechbi Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 I have been using it all the time - It really is so much fun. All my friends are amazed by it. I like the way that if you just ask it to call somebody, it will ask which number you require (work, home or mobile). Or you can be more specific and say call {friend} mobile... The reading of new a SMS is good - great if you are on the road. I have also just found out that the application can still be acvivated by pressing & holding the 'start' key even with the keypad locked! Kewl...
Guest KingDaddy Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 The version from the Cyberon website is the same as the one I got from Handango on Friday, I think. It has the same build number at least.
Guest nedge2k Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 Well from what i remember of the handango ver it seemed to get worse the longer you used it and started off pretty bad anyway. It sounds as tho the one on the Cyberon site is better but i havent tried it.
Guest cosmoOo Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 Great proogram. To bad it doens't work with a (bluetooth) headset, I only realy need voice dialing if I don't have my phone in my hand. I attached a normal voice dial (phone c500) to the voice commander program and that works with my headset and sometimes I get voice commander to understand my command even when it is in my pocket, but it is far from ideal. Why didn't they implement support for headsets ? And I don't get email working, it just says 'no new email' and I think that is because It only checks the oulook account and I don't use that one, And you cannot delete it so it doesn't work for me. Digit dialing worked correctly without training and I'm not a native english speaker.
Guest nechbi Posted August 29, 2004 Report Posted August 29, 2004 Must confess that I did have problems with Digit Dialling.. I found that I didnt have long enough to say the phone number (with area code) in the time the phone listens for commands. But then if you keep your contacts list up-to-date you should'nt need to use this feature very often..
Guest roozbeh Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 does this program work with 2002 os? i downloaded it and it says it is not a valid win ce application... i am sure my phone is unlocked too!
Guest roozbeh Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 well after 2 time resets it works! thanks
Guest nedge2k Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 Had an email from Cyberon today ...All the recommended problems are now under serious inspection that we hope to release an update edition, in the near future, that will enhance its reliability and capability further... Havent mentioned the problems with digit dialing as i gave up on it when i couldnt get i working :P I'll tell them about the problem and point them towards this thread :)
Guest nechbi Posted August 30, 2004 Report Posted August 30, 2004 Havent mentioned the problems with digit dialing as i gave up on it when i couldnt get i working :P I'll tell them about the problem and point them towards this thread :) Kewl. Would be nice to get that resolved.

Guest chucky.egg Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 @rooxbeh Maybe it's your spelling!
Guest peterweg Posted October 8, 2004 Report Posted October 8, 2004 Its is very hit and miss with my accent. It recognises about 1 in five attempts. The start command is the worse So launching apps is virtually impossible. I can't train the basic commands, so its useless. MS said they would bring out Voice Command for smartphone nine months ago. Its still not out. For all aggrivation and cost, both apps should allow typing and text-to speech in other applications like MSN Messenger
Guest oallostavros Posted November 20, 2004 Report Posted November 20, 2004 @King Daddy Have you tried the latest versions? The links are in my article. I can't seem to find the links in your article to the version I should download- where are they at? Can you just copy/paste it into your next posting. Thanks
