Guest coolrich Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 Hi guys, Are you able to have a start up tone on the e100? Cheers  Richard
Guest Skunkchild Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 Any wav sound placed in the windows startup folder will play on startup. But when I did this on the original spv I seem to remeber that you can't delete it or something. I think I had to overwrite the file with a blank one of the same name. BTW I used to use that long R2D2 whistle - always attracted too much attention and left me covering the speaker.
Guest coolrich Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 LOL, I have the 20th Century Fox tune and a couple of windows sounds having a hard time choosing. Where about do you store them what is the folder name? Cheers  Richard
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 Best thing is to edit the registry much better then placing in the Start Menu as that can lead to problems. Using PHMRegedit from www.monolithix.org you can alter the registery and give the phone a startup sound by changing the following settings. HKEY_CURRENT_USERControl PanelSoundsSystemStartup Then select Values and then Sound Now change the Value Data to the path and name of your wav (eg, if you save the wav to IPSMWindows then the value is simply IPSMWindowsblah.wav, where blah.wav is the name of your wav file of course) For more info click on the word tweak and see what other interesting things you can do :)
Guest coolrich Posted August 27, 2004 Report Posted August 27, 2004 Ok cheers for this, I have downloaded a couple of startup tones to see which is best. Cheers
