Guest martin Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 Have you tried checking the SMS folders in the Inbox. Goto Inbox, Menu-Show folders - this is where you should delete the stored SMS's from. After deleteing SMS messages, make sure you go into the 'deleted items' folder and delete again.
Guest shennaningans Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 hi ive looked under where u said i have a list of folders 1 deleted items 2 drafts 3 inbox 4 outbox 5 sent items ive looked in there but the phone contains nothing in any of these folders. i was considering using a master reset - but wasnt sure: a. since my phones been unlocked would this affect this b. how to do it! any ideas what to do? ian
Guest martin Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 If it was me then I would probably just go for a hard reset because you don't what else has been affected. A hard reset won't affect a SIM unlock but you may have to application unlock again if you are using an Orange ROM.
Guest shennaningans Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 so how do i hard reset the phone then?? thanks
Guest squall Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 click on the number words hard reset Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest shennaningans Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 tried this and i perform the action it give u the option of a master reset only what will this do to the unlocked phone? also everyting i turn my phone on it tells me to free up memory which ive tried doing on the space maker. Ive also tried doing a removal of programs but it dosent bring any up ... thanks
Guest Disco Stu Posted August 28, 2004 Report Posted August 28, 2004 "Master Reset" will return your phone to factory condition. You will lose your Contacts, SMS, etc (all data stored on phone memory) so you need to backup first. You will have to application unlock again but SIM unlock is unaffected. The lack of population in Add / Remove Programs is a known bug in the Settings menu. Basically it can't handle more than 30something items though they will all show up under the same tool in ActiveSync. SpaceMaker only deals with SMS & emails. Whatever has happenend to your phone, a hard reset will clear it up. Afterwards reinstall everything to storage card and don't fill up the phone memory with homescreens and ringtones. :)
