Problem with email alert on SPV C500

Basically, when I receive a new email alert on my C500, the message alert doesn't play. I have created 3 POP3 accounts on the phone and they all work okay - I just don't get the alert.

I've tried searching the forum but can't find anything - can anyone help please??

Are you sure the tone file is formatted correctly, ie: PCM for wavs ?

Have you got System Sounds switched off ?

Thanks for the quick response.

The WAV works fine when I use it as an SMS alert. I've got system sounds switched on. No matter what I set the email alert to it doesn't work. I've tried the inbuilt sounds for the email alert and even that doesn't work.

Any suggestions??

I've carried out some further testing with this problem. The new email alert does play when I receive a new email in the Outlook Email profile/folder but not if I receive a new email in my POP3 profile/folder.

Has anyone got any suggestions - could this be a bug??
