Hello

My C500 does not check mails automatically, let's say every hour or so! Does anybody know any reason for that?

Thanks

Mine seems to work, but only if I manually check the accounts in the first place.

that means every time you turn on your phone you have first manually to check your mails and after that it checks the mails it self? Correct?

That's the only way it works for me, but you know what SPVs are like.... yours could be completely different!

There's an option on the last page of the email account set up that allows you to set how often the SPV logs on and checks your mails. I have mine set to once an hour. Seems to work ok 8)

Yeah, I have that set, but mine still only works if I check emails manually first

Mine is the same as Chris'. Seems to only check automatically if i check manually first. Think it is designed that way.

This annoys me a lot, same in the E200, but worked fine on the SPV cassic/E100.

It is an issue with Windows Mobile 2003/SE with the separate inboxes, it will only honour the automatic download settings of the account viewed last. I have two pop3 accounts and text messages, I tend to leave it on text messages and never receive mail, but as soon as I change to one of the pop3 mail inboxs it downloads mail automatically according to the schedule, but not the other pop3 inbox.

MS Developers: I want it to automatically download all pop3 mail accounts on schedule like SP2002 did! And while I am at it, have the ability to queue SMS for sending (can be sent with no signal) and not loose SMS's on receive and crash :)

I am very annoyed with this as well. Say you have your POP3 set to check every fifteen minutes. It will do so, but only after you have manually checked (also, no tone or vibrate for new emails when checking automatically, grr) Now, everything is ok. Until i get an SMS. I read the SMS and return to the POP3 account. It will not auto check until I have once again manually checked for emails. These are bad bugs, and should be addressed in an update.

1: We should be able to check ALL POP3 accounts autmatically, as long as "messenger" is open.

2: We should ALWAYS get a vibrate and tone alert for new emails, in case we check and then navigate away from our inbox.

Developers please take note!

Thanks.
