Guest mushra Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 Have you got the SPV C500 Or an older version, because if you've got an older version you can get it at http://www.surrealservices.co.uk but if you do have a C500, there isn't one yet... that works
Guest guangr0n9 Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 i'm new with my smartphone. it's O2 xphone, as it is called here. is there any emulator that works for it? and how do i use it?
Guest benty Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 PocketSNES is two slow for the spv smartphone classic 2002
Guest guangr0n9 Posted August 31, 2004 Report Posted August 31, 2004 well, thanks. i found a workable one but with some problem.. i cant get out of the game other than pressing the cam button and force it out of the game. is there a better solution? my version is 1.12.200-0.2
Guest phishwak Posted October 15, 2004 Report Posted October 15, 2004 The volume buttons should get you back to the menu. If all else fails hold down the Volume Up button for a couple of seconds, that always works for me (it's the sound record button as there isn't a dedicated one on the C500).

Guest rodrigoperu Posted November 28, 2004 Report Posted November 28, 2004 hi everybody, there are several platform emulators at www.airfagev.com I currently have the SmartNES and PocketSNES emus on my phone (imate smartphone 2, aka o2 xphone, etc) (both on the 1 gb kick ass SD card I just got  SmartNES runs great, even with sound turned on it will not slow down at all! PocketSNES however, is another story, (though I have only tried one rom, RockNRoll, an odd, kick-ass racing game) It plays really slow, though it is great that it will not make my phone hang, no matter what. The sound is off by default, I can imagine the emulation will slow to a grind if I turn it on. It looks superb, I wish it was faster as the current speed works to show off the app only, actual gaming is still far away, but it shows the strenght and the potential of the SP platform. I do not recomend PocketSNES as nothing but a showoff app, since gameplay is so slow you will not be able to enjoy any game. This ROM I tested is about 1 mb in size, I think I read somewhere that the recommended size is up to 4 mb roms so the phone's emu will run smoothly, but by my experience, and by the authors' own words, the emu will run slow no matter what, and as he said, it was developed only to explore the viability of an SNES emu. Hopefully future, more powerful versions of the SP platform will be able to run these ROMS in all their glory :D we can only hope!pocketSNES.zip

As example with frameskip set to 3 it runs close to fullspeed on my SDA (sound off of course). I also found, it tends to crash in portrait mode, so better go to landscape mode prior to launching the game. Tala
Guest Glads Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 Port (modification of the source) of the Pocketsnes on http://www.surrealservices.co.uk/ which claims to work on SPV C500. Is there a compatibility list floating about? This is a SNES emulator for Microsoft Smartphone. It is a port of PocketSNES software to the Microsoft Smartphone platform. The current version is only tested on unlocked Orange SPVs. The performance of PocketSNES on SPV is very slow and for most purposes is probably unuseable. It does however support quite a wide range of games. Hopefully on 200Mhz XScale devices (when they arrive) we will see a big improvement in useability. Games like Golf or RPGs are the most likely to be somewhat playable as they are less dependant on realtime performance. The new Microsoft Smartphone 2003 version runs much more acceptably on the Orange C500 (200Mhz) device. The Smartphone port is ported from the 1.12.200 PocketSNES code.
