How Do You Get Internet Exp To Work On The spv 500?......

hi i am new to this forum and have just got the spv c 500 the other day but dont know how to use it :? i am trying to go on to internet exp but when i do it will not connect :? is there any thing i need to do to set it up? as i do not know how to. also when the phone is connected to the pc is there a way you can go on to the internet for free?

check with Orange and make sure they have enabled GPRS on your account

no it does not say anything about settings. i think what i am going to have to do is phone up orange and see if they can sort it out for me. may be they need to put this on my bill.

OK here's a go to start with:

1. click start

2. click settings (4)

3. click More... (9)

4. click Data Connections

---------------------------------

Set the following settings:

Internet Connections

- Orange GPRS

Work Connections

- Automatic

WAP Connections

- Orange GPRS

Secure WAP Connections

- Automatic

-------------------------------

Then click Done

Then open Internet explorer

Click Menu

Click Options (6)

Click Connections

de-select Automatically detect settings check box.

Then in Select network:

Select internet to use GPRS

or Work to use connection from PC i.e. usb cable or bluetooth.

N.B. ActiveSync Options->Rules

In section Pass Through set Connection to Work

If GPRS is not working dial 150 and speak to a customer rep. they will send you an SMS with GRPS settings.
