Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 You need one of the must have apps Smart Explorer by www.binarys.com. Also while you are there get hold of Task Manager as well :) Both apps are on my must have apps list.
Guest mdcdeve Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 ooo very nice, thanks man :) any other good programs i should know about :P
Guest Disco Stu Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 After that it comes down to personal taste / requirements. What do you want to do with your phone ? The 2 most prominent software suppliers are handango : http://www.handango.com ..and smartphone.net : http://www.smartphone.net/ There's also a good selection of free/shareware at monolithix.org : http://www.monolithix.org/index.html ..but have a look in the Software sections here too :)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 Next on my list is BetaPlayer to play movies and video clips :)
Guest mdcdeve Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 oo some good stuff there, and free is always a plus :) just wondering, whats this error im always getting, about certificates "not digitally signed with a trusted cetificate" how can u get rid of this =/
Guest Disco Stu Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 Your phone comes application locked to stop you installing things not approved by Orange. To unlock go here : http://developer.orangews.com/orgspv/comdef.aspx (it does work for phones other than the SPV) Discussion thread (necessary reading) here -> OTA :)
Guest mdcdeve Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 cool :) .. *sigh* so confusing =P.. how do i find out my number, just got a new sim =/ and how do i turn the radio on lol, didnt know it had one =P
Guest Disco Stu Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 Your SIM number is actually written on the card (and the packaging come to think of it). To get your IMEI number, type in *#06# and your phonoe will tell you. The radio is actually the transmitter / receiver bit and should be on anyway. It has nothing to do with AM / FM. You don't have that sort of radio.
Guest mdcdeve Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 :) found the number ... dont know how to turn the radio on though, it says "radio off" when i put in *#06# its says ... ... "the radio is off, please turn it on and try again" =/
Guest Disco Stu Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 Sorry mate. Press the power button once quickly and you'll bring up the Quick Menu. Should be option 2 :)
