Guest Jamma14 Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 Hi, I recently installed BlaAdfont(think it's spelt like that) blind lemon font installer for my fone. I followed the steps in the forum post about it to change the system font to lucida calligraphy which i had transferred over from the computer. When I rebooted it, I found that the font was changed to lucida calligraphy but also so was another one into a bolder version of its former self - not what i wanted to happen. So I mistrusted the program and unistalled it and deleted all the font and xml files. When i rebooted it once more, I found the system font was changed but this other one was still bold. It's annoying because in picodrive it makes the options menu's options to big and they go off the side of the screen. Anyone got any idea how to fix the problem??ss000.png
Guest Jamma14 Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 BTW i have an e100 and im just wondering in my windows folder i have the fonts nina.ttf and ninab.ttf can any1 else confirm they have these? Is the b the bold one? Anyone have a clue?....Please...
Guest siu99spj Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 OK, I'm unsure of any easy way to fix your phone other than a Hard Reset. I'm loathe to suggest such drastic action, but it guarantees fixing everything. It might possible be a registry thing, but I have no idea where nor can I tell you until I can reinstall a registry editor on my phone (Which won't be soon I'm afraid). BTW i have an e100 and im just wondering in my windows folder i have the fonts nina.ttf and ninab.ttf can any1 else confirm they have these? Is the b the bold one? Anyone have a clue?....Please... Well on my original SPV (Identical to the E100 except for screen and case) I have the same two files, so I'm assuming its not that. But the 'b' probably is the bold one as its used when highlighting things in smart explorer (As well as for other things that I'm not aware of). I wouldn't recommend deleting it or else you might end up with no fonts!
Guest Jamma14 Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 Yeh thanx for trying :)... i was thinking bout a hard reset too but i don't really wanna after setting up my calender and installing loadsa tweaks n stuff guess ill just try n liv wid it....unless ne1 else has any suggestions?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 Back up with Outlook on your PC and your contacts and calender will be safe. As for tweaks have a look at www.customcabbage.co.uk for your tweaking needs :)
Guest Jamma14 Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 Hi again yeah thanx awarner but i really am not too keen on hard resetting it over this. It wasn't bugging me that much so i was gonna just live with it. But I've just installed the final version of smart explorer (been living with the old one for ages) and it uses the screwed font so everything is bold but when i select something it becomes "unbold" - can't think of the right word. So do you reckon i should maybe swap the names of nina.ttf and ninab.ttf around? Maybe that might help??? Any other ideas anyone?ss001.PNG
Guest Jamma14 Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 Just to let you know i switched the nina and ninab fonts with ones from a friends fone and nothings changed. Cmon some1 out there must have a clu! Btw if you select somethin on smart explorer normally does it look like tht bold font with the m's stuck together and stuff? Coz if so maybe i shud switch the names as their uses have been mixed up in the registry.....or summin...........:)..........anyone?
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 Try my suggestions here: http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php...p=381051#381051
