Guest syphern Posted September 1, 2004 Report Posted September 1, 2004 Well im going to get a smartphone soon im a heavy gamer and i know ill play alot of snes/genesis games on my smartphone. which smartphone is considered best for gaming ie i have heard c500 is crappy when it comes to gaming because of multikey press, how about the motorola mpx200? has it got nice controls? what about spve200 i heard its not that great as a gaming device too!? please i need input
Guest RAVENMAD Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 Hi m8 iv got the SPV E200 which works great with the nes & gb emu but not tryd any other phones so cant say which is better.
Guest Dade Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 Having had every smartphone I would say that the E100 is the best. Although the E200 is a little faster the E100 has the 9 way joystick.
Guest mike-oh Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 E200 (as far as i know) has no diagonals. MPX 200 has them but down and left diagonal doesn't work. There are a few other conflicts (a few threads are kicking around the MPX200 forum) but these can usually be worked around. It's also be refuted to be faster than the E200. I would imagine either the E200 or MPX200 are better than the E100 due to larger amounts of memory. Mike :)
Guest midnight Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 My fave: the original SPV, the joypad on that is easily the best on any phone for gaming in my opinion, I also have an E100 but find the diagoals hard to do most of the time, whereas the original SPV gets them every time :)
Guest roozbeh Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 i've got i-mate...... i-mate is the same as e100 or original spv? i thought spv is the same as e100!!
Guest ajb3000 Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 Well with the original SPV being the first ever MS Smartphone, most games were coded to function properly on that. All the latter ones seem to have gone downhill on the control side of things.
Guest pwest13 Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 8390 is the easiest to use imho
Guest gravity Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 "8390 is the easiest to use imho" Except for improper implimentation of certain libraries ofcourse :)
Guest pmerritt Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 the i600 is very good as well
Guest agent.m Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 My fave: the original SPV, the joypad on that is easily the best on any phone for gaming in my opinion, I also have an E100 but find the diagoals hard to do most of the time, whereas the original SPV gets them every time :) I hear you on that one mate  thats why its the original nothing else cuts it :P
Guest AvWijk Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 Qtek 8020 Joystick which feels good, more powerfull than e200. SieraWireless VOQ has also a joystick but I don't recommend this brick to you, to nobody.
Guest abatis Posted September 11, 2004 Report Posted September 11, 2004 Hey I like my Voq A10. It works great and you can play Java games out of the box. Brick - beauty is in the eye of the beholder. When you have this phone in your hand you know that they built it for people who actaully use the phone and want to hold something ergonomic. This is the best phone I have ever owned. The reception of this phone compared to say a MPX200 is well, professional in comparison.
Guest evans.rhys.gavin Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 my c500 is not that bad for some games it works well with tetris and astrawares fruit frolic etc etc its not THAT bad as long as solitaire works im good
Guest muff Posted October 19, 2004 Report Posted October 19, 2004 my c500 is not that bad for some games it works well with tetris and astrawares fruit frolic etc etc its not THAT bad as long as solitaire works im good  and that's gaming ? ^_^
Guest goe602 Posted October 27, 2004 Report Posted October 27, 2004 the MPx220 seems to run any game ive installed extremely well. 9-way joystick as well.
Guest clubsunny Posted May 16, 2005 Report Posted May 16, 2005 i recomend the motorola mpx220 because of its competibility in java and samartphone plus the big directional pad!
