HELP Please!!!! ROM Update Problems

Hey all,

I have read a lot on these forums over the last 5 hours and have relised that i have stupidly updated my E200 when i really shouldnt have :-(

I have tried the Fixed EXE but still it dosent update.

unfortunatly, the first time it wiped all my previous ROM. Therefore i need to flash it to something. Ive tried most ROMS i can find but it does the same each time.

What happens is;

1. It takes 1-2 minutes to check the device, then determines there is no ROM on there.

2. I click "update"

3. It shows the update percentage screen for 10 seconds before i get the standard XP not responding box.

the phone goes from canary screen to a blank white screen during the phone checking.

The canary screen says i have bootloader v1.05doc.

I hope someone can help me as i have been saving up for a long time for this phone (Ebay) and i fear it is dead :-(

Ive also read that the Swiss 2.6.5.3 rom could help matters, but can someone tell me where to get it as there is a newer version than this on Orange.ch :-(

looks more like a windows xp problem. do you acces to another machine ?

I had this too. Switch off any firewall like Zone Alarm or Norton Internet Security.

i had a simular problem...i solved it by pressing ctrl+alt+del and then i quit all the services on my computer that i could (even explorer.exe) then i started ran explorer again and started up the installation of the o2 rom (i was stuck on the i-mate rom) and it worked out...

hello,

- try another time, just to unzip all the files on a specific directory (and quit after the unzip)

- go to the specific directory

- unzip the attached file in the directory and run it.

i had also that kind of problem when i tried to update my xphone rom which has the 1.9.11.4 (CHT) version. upon upgrading it, it had some problems and i had to take off the battery and had to turn it on again. just like wht happened to stalka but mine shows from

press any key to enter boot loader

upon pressing any key it shows

smart phone

v1.04 doc

will it work if i try to use the methods mentioned above???

please help coz i dont know what to do!!!

what does it mean when u say "flashing"
