Guest chucky.egg Posted September 2, 2004 Report Posted September 2, 2004 Not quite sure where to post this... I'm looking for an app that will give me a searchable list of names, numbers and car registrations, and that will also allow me to dial the number by clicking a link of some sort. I thought maybe could I do it in PIE I can export my data into almost any format, so I could create HTML files with the name being a link to the phone number. Can I search an HTML file in PIE? Is there a way to dial a number by clicking a link in PIE? I'm using a C500 if it makes any difference
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 I use SmartphoneFind + Smartphone Notes. http://www.syncdata.it/sphfind.html http://www.syncdata.it/sphnotes.html
Guest chucky.egg Posted September 3, 2004 Report Posted September 3, 2004 Smartphone Find looks neat, but not quite what I'm looking for with this. I have a "second phone book" which contains all the names and numbers etc for all the staff in my office. I want to be able to search that list for a name or a car reg number, and then (if it finds a match) to be able to call that person by clicking a button/link I don't want to add all those names to my Contacts, so I don't think Find will do it - unless you can search inside files???
Guest chucky.egg Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 I found the way to dial a number from PIE, after hours spent trying different ways it turned out to be quite simple (once you know how): Fred Blogs {a href="tel:+447788112233"}Mobile{/a}|{a href="tel:+441732112233">Office{/a}|{a href="tel:+441732998877">Home{/a} [edit] Ooops, forgot the forum would translate it! Have replaced the < and > symbols with { and } so that you can see it! [/edit]
