sp2002: programs not showing up in the programs list

sorry, but this is ask the dumb questions day for me :) How come some programs that I have stored on the memory card are not showing up in the programs list like pocket music and pocket t.v.?? I have to use the file manager and go to the card to launch these apps.

If you installed them by .cab or .exe (Windows Installer from PC) then you should get a shortcut in the Programs menu. Might not be where you expected it to be, but....

If you pasted a .exe (basic program) onto the storage card then you need to create your own shortcut.

Either way you need to (Menu,) Refresh the Programs menu before it shows. I always restart the phone after any installation just to make sure everythiing gets lined up correctly.

Otherwise, are you sure the installation worked ?

Did you install the correct version of the software ?

Pocket music was installed to the card via the installation program-not sure of the file type. Pocket tv was installed via a cab file. Both programs work fine if I launch them from the card. How do I create a shortcut for these two programs?

Sounds like you installed correctly so I'm confused still, but...

Using ActiveSync or Smart Explorer, find the programs' .exe on the storage card.

Right-click, Copy, then go to IPSM Windows Start Menu, right-click again, Copy Shortcut. (Rename the shortcut .ink to whatever)

Refresh the Programs menu and you should be done
