Guest Bam1234 Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 Why sometimes I face with "error" when I move files? it showed can't be moved.. Thankz
Guest nickcornaglia Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 Is the file actually in use? Cloase the apps that could be accessing it.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 Also anything that is in resident memory will also give you this fault, this includes files you may have in the StartUp folder. Some cases you may need to either reboot your phone or use something like Task Manager from www.binarys.com
Guest zeus Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 I noticed that I could no longer copy files across to my phone from windows explorer and received the above error. Mine started after installing Changer Sonnerie (updated one). After installing, I realised that I could no longer copy files across, and also that my phone will no longer play *.wav files. These are the same files that played ok previously on this phone (SPV E200) and play ok on my SPV E100. The files are not set to read only, and I have admin rights on my PC. I have deleted several video files from the phone just incase I was using up too much space, but still have the same error. I have tried uninstalling Changer Sonnerie, rebooting the phone and rebooting the PC, but I am still left with the error and inability to play *.wav's. I'm up to date with my Active Synch version (3.7.1), and am running out of ideas of how to rectify the faults. (I'm not trying to blame Changer Sonnerie, btw) Anyone think of possible reasons?
Guest zeus Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 Just incase anyone is wondering, "marrow" was a small text file I was using as an example for the error message. I get the same error message for an file type (*.wav, *.jpg, *.gif, *.txt etc)
Guest zeus Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 I hard reset the SPV E200. Yay! I can now play *.wav files again. I decertified it, but still cannot copy ANY file types over to the phone's Storage Card. To the phone itself is no problem. I'm receiving the error message below; The storage card is not write protected either. :?: Anybody :?:
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 Try a card reader otherwise if the card is corrupt format it with Binarys Task Manager.
Guest zeus Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 Looks like the storage card is b0rked. Errors returned during format attempts. Switched to a different card I have here and problem disappeared. HAndy having the Modaco shop around too :)
