Guest roozbeh Posted September 4, 2004 Report Posted September 4, 2004 nooooooooo another port!!! hi this is the port of Rise of the Triad from APOGEE/3D REALMS. i dont like this game as i dont understand it but i think there are ppl which have had good times with this game and like to recover those memories :) i tested this only with shareware version. Installation :: For sure by now you have unpacked the zip file and have access to all files. In your Zip package you will find : spvRott.exe VENDOR.DOC SCORES.ROTT CONFIG.ROTT You also need shareware data files for this game to run.You can grab them at ftp://ftp.3drealms.com/share/1rott13.zip these files are neccessary : BATTLE.ROT HUNTBEGIN.RTC HUNTBEGIN.RTL HUNTBGIN.WAD Controls :: Arrow keys are for movment * Fire # Open Volume Up Look up Vomue Down Look down Soft Key1 Strafe Left Soft Key2 Strafe RightspvROTT.rar

Guest nassersyed2 Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 hey, can someone help me? i'm trying to get ROTT to work on my phone. its a mio8380 and iknow about the 8390's GAPI error, just checking if the same was for my 8380. i put all the files and i had to rename one file from BGIN to BEGIN then it worked. can someone help me out?? thanks all

Guest schriss Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 NOTICE: Do not rename any files from shareware version, readme says you need: HUNTBEGIN.RTC, HUNTBEGIN.RTL, HUNTBGIN.WAD but actually the files are: HUNTBGIN.RTC HUNTBGIN.RTL HUNTBGIN.WAD It's because it is a DOS game (filename limited to 8+3) It works great on my Mio8390, I wonder what is the framerate, looks to be at least 30fps :)

Guest schriss Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 There is nothing wrong with Mitac, after you sign exe with cert, you can expect pretty good performance from Mitac Mio8390 Smartphone clocked at 300MHz :-) Too bad their support sucks :x
