Guest stclive Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 have you noticed how bad the c500 loudspeaker is when playin an mp3 /wav/wma the e200 was far louder and much clearer the c500 can not handle bass at all, starts to distort badly is this software related or hardware do u think their will be a software fix soon to correct this?
Guest midnight Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 well the loudspeaker isnt meant for playing high quality music to be truthfull (ringtones and handsfree mainly), but mine is easily as loud as my E100, only difference is the loudspeaker is on the side, so aim that at you and its loud. As for bass, no spv has ever been able to handlke bass very well through the speaker, but through the headphones (as music is meant to be played) its fine.
Guest stclive Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 do u think an software upgrade could improve the sound? the e200 is def better than the c500 sound wise on loudspeaker (have both phones and tested) is their a way to use both speakers (top one and side one) for playin music?
Guest midnight Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 top one is for your ear, it wont be very loud, if you want decent speaker sound get yourself some seperate powered speakers and plug those in.
Guest meatgrinder Posted September 5, 2004 Report Posted September 5, 2004 yep - dead right midnight. what you have to remember stclive is that the c500 speaker is no more than 1cm in diameter - for decent bass, you need (at least...) several inches diameter, and a better shape of cone. Most really good sounds systems come with subwoofers for this very reason - a dedicated speaker that'll be (probably) 6-15 inches in diameter. larger cones = deeper and more pwoerful bass, a tiny 1cm speaker is never going to produce nice bass. Guest maxh2003 Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 a tiny 1cm speaker is never going to produce nice bass ...unless you ram it deep inside your ear canal...! ( http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navc...8&q=canalphones )
Guest stclive Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 i have invested in a pair of portable speakers for my c500, i would recommend everyone gets them, gives TOP quality sound u need to purchase a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adaptor (few quid) if your thinking of investing in speakers you should get ones at £20-40 Your Spv Will now be a portable hi-fi :)
Guest stclive Posted September 6, 2004 Report Posted September 6, 2004 yeh headphones r amazin on the spv (better than mp3 player i have) ive also noticed that the sound is a touch louder than on previous spvs do u get that feeling?
